ARLINGTON, Texas -- Texas Rangers reliever Tanner Scheppers is going back on the disabled list because of right elbow inflammation less than a week after a return from the same problem. Scheppers, who became a starter in the spring and got the opening day nod because of an injury to Yu Darvish, went back to the bullpen when he returned and made four appearances in six games. The 27-year-old Scheppers missed a month and a half with the original elbow problem after making four starts. He is 0-1 with 9.00 ERA. Its the 20th DL move for the injury-riddled Rangers this season. Texas brought up right-hander Ben Rowen from Triple-A Round Rock. He has yet to appear in the majors. Cheap Air Force 1 China . Yazar: Dogcat250 - 2 saat önce - Forum: TECO F510 Teknik Destek - Yorum Yok

New York, NY - New York Rangers centre Derek Stepan is set to make his season debut on Saturday against Toronto after recovering from a fractured fibula. Stepan was hurt during practice in late September. He suffered a non-displaced fracture and missed the teams first 12 games of the season. The 24-year-old Minnesota native was cleared for contact earlier this week. In 82 games last season, Stepan scored 17 goals and set career highs with 40 assists and 57 points. He has compiled 73 goals with 124 assists for 197 points in 294 games. Stepan had never missed a regular-season game in his first four years with the Rangers, but did miss one game in the Stanley Cup playoffs last season, sitting out Game 4 of the Eastern Conference finals against the Canadiens after he suffered a broken jaw on a hit by Montreals Brandon Prust. Rangers defenceman Dan Boyle also skated with the team Friday and could return next week after recovering from a broken hand he suffered in the season opener against St. Louis. Boyle, who signed as a free agent in July, was hurt while blocking a shot in the third period of the 3-2 Rangers win. Nike Vapormax Wholesale China . Nike Vapormax Sale Online . With the Rangers already leading 2-0, Carey Price was taken down early in the second period of New Yorks 7-2 pounding of the Canadiens in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference final on Saturday afternoon. CLEVELAND -- Dont ask Maurice Cheeks why his team is so successful away from home. The Detroit Pistons coach cant explain it. "I dont have any theories why that is," he said. "I just dont know." Josh Smith scored 25 points, Brandon Jennings added 21 and the Pistons continued their domimant play on the road with a 115-92 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday night. The Pistons have won seven of their last eight away from home, including victories against defending NBA champion Miami and Indiana, which has the best record in the Eastern Conference. While Cheeks cant come up with a reason, reserve guard Chauncey Billups, a veteran of 17 seasons, managed to put his finger on something. "On the road, all we have is us," he said. "We know we have to stick together when their crowds get going and they go on runs." The Pistons went on plenty of runs in their latest road success. Detroit went ahead for good midway through the first quarter and built a 21-point lead late in the first half. The margin reached 28 points in the fourth quarter as the Pistons rolled to their biggest win of the season. Jennings also had 13 assists for Detroit, which placed seven players in double figures. Kyrie Irving scored 21 points for Cleveland, which has lost four of five. "We got our butts handed to us tonight," said forward Tristan Thompson. The Cavaliers had shown signs of progress earlier this month, winning three straight and five of six. Cleveland has struggled since, dropping close games to Miami and Portland and losing by 16 points to a short-handed Chicago team on Saturday. "Our sense of urgency the last two ballgames has been non-existent," Cleveland coach Mike Brown said. Cavaliers centre Andrew Bynum was scoreless in 22 minutes, missing all 11 shots from the field and getting seven rebounds. Detroit is 6-10 on its own court and was coming off home losses to Charlotte and Houston, but took control early. Smith scored 10 points in the first quarter when Detroit shot 56 per cent. Smith hit 3-pointers on back-to-back possessions late in the second quarter that stretched the lead to 56-35. The Pistons were 22 of 41 from the field in the first half and took a 58-40 lead to tthe locker room.dddddddddddd Cleveland cut the lead to 10 points in the third quarter, but three baskets by Jennings, including two 3-pointers, five points by Smith and dunks by Andre Drummond on consecutive fast breaks extended the lead back to 89-64. Smith was 10 of 18 from the field and had eight rebounds and three assists in 31 minutes. "Working in the paint is the strength in our game, so Im making a conscious effort to not settle for shots," Smith said. "Im used to being a little selfish, but I can be a distributor when other guys get hot." Jennings directed the offence with 13 assists. Drummond had 14 points and 11 rebounds while Greg Monroe scored 11 points and had 11 rebounds. Reserves from both teams played most of the fourth quarter. Thompson scored 17 points for the Cavaliers. Cleveland played without guard Dion Waiters, the teams second-leading scorer, for the third straight game because of tendinitis in his right wrist. Brown is still searching for answers to get his team to play with more consistency. The loss was Clevelands biggest at home since a 125-90 defeat against San Antonio on April 3, 2012. "I dont know if we mentally understand what it takes to keep doing this every time we step out on the floor," he said. "Were getting hit in the mouth right now and Im interested to see if we can respond the right way." The Pistons have won seven in a row against the Cavaliers, including four straight in Cleveland. Cheeks coached his 600th career game. He has also coached for Portland and Philadelphia. NOTES: Drummond was given a flagrant foul for knocking Thompson to the floor while the Cavaliers forward drove in the lane in the first quarter. ... The Cavaliers were hit with three delay-of-game warnings in the first quarter, resulting in two technical fouls. ... Cavaliers rookie F Anthony Bennett -- the No. 1 overall pick in the draft -- returned after missing two games with the flu. He missed three shots and committed a turnover in six first quarter minutes. Bennett ended the game with seven points. ... Cleveland reserve C Tyler Zeller scored a season-high 13 points, all in the fourth quarter. ... Drummond recorded his 21st double-double of the season.   the captain is still stewing over a lost

NEW YORK, N.Y. - All thats left for Derek Jeter to do is say goodbye.Right now, though, the captain is still stewing over a lost season.New York was eliminated from playoff contention Wednesday, wasting a three-run lead in a 9-5 loss to Nelson Cruz and the AL East champion Baltimore Orioles. Its tough. Its what you play for. Its a rough feeling, Jeter said.Jeter went 0 for 4 as the designated hitter in his next-to-last game home game, ending a seven-game hitting streak and dropping his average to .253.The Yankees (81-77) missed the playoffs in consecutive years for the first time since 1992 and 93. The only other time New York did not play in the post-season during in the retiring captains 20-season big league career was in 2008.Its disappointing. Its frustrating, Yankees manager Joe Girardi said. This is not where you want to be at this time of year. When Jeter is lauded by fans Thursday night a€” weather permitting. Theres rain in the forecast a€” for a career that included five of New Yorks 27 World Series titles, he will be playing his first game in the Bronx that has no implications on his teams playoff chances. (Jeter was out with an injury last year). For the guys that are coming back and the team that plays its a feeling you shouldnt like and you shouldnt want to get used to, Jeter said.Baltimore remained 2 1/2 games behind the Los Angeles Angels, who beat Oakland 5-4, in the race for the ALs best record and home-field advantage throughout the post-season. Manager Buck Showalter sees Thursday night festivities as good preparation. Not everywhere you play in the post-season is going to be a friendly environment, he said, so it is good to have that kind of emotion going on before you get there.Cruz had two of his four singles and slugger Adam Jones a safety squeeze in a six-run fourth for Baltimore. As they have throughout the final homestand, fans stood, cheered and chanted De-rek Je-ter! for each of the captains at-bats during a rare September mid-week afternoon game. Even though Jeter was the designated hitter, the Bleacher Creatures included Jeter in the first-inning roll call. Jeter wasnt in the dugout to acknowledge them with the customary wave.Jeter was given an extended ovation after he tapped out to first base in the eighth but he remained seated in the dugout and did not come out for the curtain call. The game ended when Brett Gardner struck out looking with Jeter on deck. The game wasnt over. We were trying to come back, Jeter said of the eighth. You cant help but notice. I catch myself looking around sometimes and Ive always tried not to do that but Ive caught myself a couple of times.Bud Norris (15-8) fell behind 3-0 despite getting seven of his first nine outs by strikeout. He allowed a leadoff homer in the second to Stephen Drew then fanned five straight, a string stopped in the third inning with Chase Headleys long ball.Norris allowed three runs and five hits in six innings and struck out nine.Shane Greene (5-4) loaded the bases in the third but got Jones to ground into an inning-ending forceout. The rookie had no such success in the fourth inning, when the Orioles sent 11 men to the plate and scored three times with two outs.Mark Teixeira had an RBI double and two-run homer for New York.TRAINERS ROOMOrioles: Showalter said he exchanged texts with suspended 1B Chris Davis. Serving a 25-game ban following a positive test for an amphetamine, Davis reported to the Orioles complex in Sarasota, Florida, and will play in instructional games. Davis could return late in the post-season.Yankees: Girardi said Carlos Beltran (elbow) will not play the rest of the season. He will monitor Jacoby Ellsbury (hamstring) but it seems unlikely he will play in Boston.UP NEXTBaltimores RHP Kevin Gausman (7-7) and New Yorks RHP Hiroki Kuroda (11-9) are scheduled starters in the series finale.EAST BEASTNorris improved to 9-1 against the division in 14 starts, and Baltimore is 13-1 in those games.STARRY FAREWELLStars were out to say goodbye to Jeter, though. Former teammates Tino Martinez, Gerald Williams and Cecil Fielder were on hand as was Mo Vaughn, the 1995 AL MVP with Boston. Willie Randolph, a former Yankees co-captain and coach, caught a foul ball behind home plate.NO CHEAP SEATSTickets for Jeters final home game on the secondary market are going from $248 in the bleachers up to $10K in section 19, right next to the Yankees dugout.NO MORE HITSLouisville Slugger said in a news release it is retiring model number P72, the bat Jeter has used for his entire career. It will be renamed DJ2. Ecco Scarpe Saldi . The Australian is competing in his final season in Formula One and still looking for his first win this year. Blackhawks RW Patrick Kane came up big when it counted, tallying two goals and an assist. He scored the game-winner with 4:45 remaining in the third period, stopping on the right hashmarks, carrying the puck up through the top of the Kings zone, then firing a wrist shot from the top of the circles past Jonathan Quick, who had his view obstructed by Andrew Shaw.REGINA - The Toronto Argonauts acquired defensive end Ricky Foley from the Saskatchewan Roughriders on Saturday for middle linebacker Shea Emry. Foley is a three-time Grey Cup champion. He was named top Canadian at the 100th Grey Cup in 2012 after helping the Argonauts beat Calgary in the title game at Rogers Centre. Ricky Foley has always been an athletic and hardworking football player who continues to produce on the field, Argos general manager Jim Barker said in a release. He puts tremendous pressure on opposing quarterbacks which is a skill we believe will complement our defence very well. Ricky has won championships on every team for which he has played in this league, and many of our fans will remember him to be a key contributor to our 100th Grey Cup win. Toronto is his hometown and we are happy to have him back in Double Blue. Foley, from Courtice, Ont., alsso won championships with the B.ddddddddddddC. Lions in 2006 and Roughriders in 2013. He had 54 tackles, 12 sacks and one fumble recovery for Saskatchewan last season. The nine-year veteran was drafted by the Lions with the fourth overall pick in 2006. AKRON, Ohio -- Sergio Garcia doesnt know anything about being in a zone. He had no trouble identifying the best round of his career. Garcia one-putted the final 11 holes and made birdies on his last seven holes Friday in the Bridgestone Invitational to tie the course record at Firestone with a 9-under 61 and take a three-shot lead into the weekend. He had a birdie putt on every hole on the back nine, missing only a 15-footer from the fringe at No. 11. Garcia shot 27 on the back nine, a course record. "Just one of those moments that you love and you enjoy, and you wish there were no end," he said. It matched the tournament record held by Tiger Woods, who shot 61 in 2000 and 2013, and Jose Maria Olazabal, who shot his 61 in 1990. Woods went on to win by 11 shots in 2000 and seven shots last year. Olazabal won by 12 in the World Series of Golf. Garcia still has work to do. He was at 11-under 129, three shots clear of Justin Rose, who had a 67. British Open champion Rory McIlroy birdied his last two holes for a 64 and joined Marc Leishman of Australia (67) four shots out of the lead. McIlroy played in the group behind Garcia, and could hear what was going on if he couldnt see it. "Every time I looked, he was putting a ball in the hole and the crowd was cheering," McIlroy said. "I knew that he was making a few birdies." Graham DeLaet (69) of Weyburn, Sask., is tied for ninth at 4-under par. Garcia was five shots out of the lead when he had to scramble to save pars on back-to-back holes to close out the front nine on what seemed to be an ordinary round. Two good swings on the 10th hole led to a 20-foot birdie putt. He hit 8-iron to 2 feet on No. 12 and 3 feet on No. 13 for the easiest birdies he had all day, and those turned out to be the start of his big run. The Spaniard finished in style, making birdie putts of 15, 25 and 20 feet on his last three holes. It reminded Garcia of the Travelers Championships earlier this summer, when Kevin Streelman closed with seven straight birdies to beat Garcia and K.J. Choi by one shot. "When I made the one on 17 I thought, This kind of looks familiar from what happened not too long ago," Garcia said. "Obviously, Sunday would be even nicer. But Ill take what I can get." His previous best score was a 62 on three other occasions -- as a 19-year-old at the Scottish Open and Byron Nelson Classic in 1999, and at Mount Juliet in 2002 at the American Express Championship. Woods also shot his 61s at Firestone in the second round. He could have used something remotely close to that to stay in range of Garcia. Instead, Woods hit only four fairways off the tee and couldnt seem to make anything on the green. It added to a 71, leaving him 10 shots behind. "I didnt hit the ball well. I didnt putt well. I didnt do anything well," Woods said. "The only thing I did well was I fought hard. Grinded hard. Unfortunately, it wasnt a very good day." Starting times for the third round were moved up to Saturday morning, with threesomes off both tees, because of a forecast for storms. That figures to only keep Firestone soft, allowing players to attack the pins provided theyre in the short grass. Rose missed only two greens in posting a 67 as his momentum builds toward the final major of the year next week at the PGA Championship. He wouldnt mind adding a WGC title this week. Either way, there is a long stretch of big tournaments, and Rose is headed in the right direction. He won back-to-back starts at Congressional and Royal Aberdeen before stalling slightly at the British Open. "Im feeling good about peaking at this time of the year," Rose said. "Every week is big. You could argue a major championship in the middle of it all is the one youd really love to peak for next week. But at the same time, theres not a bad golf tournament now for about two months. Looking forward to the whole stretch." He didnt realize when he finished that Rose would have three shots to make up on Garcia starting out the third round. It didnt come entirely out of the blue for Garcia. Just two weeks ago, he challenged McIlroy briefly at Royal Liverpool until tying for second in the British Open. But this was something special, and Garcia could sense it. "It feels great to be able to ... equal the course record on a course like this. Even playing soft, its not that easy a course," Garcia said. "You have to drive the ball very, very well. You have to put the ball on the greens on the right spots because you can get some really, really fast putts. "Being in a group with Tiger and Jose Maria, it feels really good." Mike Pouncey Jersey . The victory was Cilics 21st straight against American opponents dating to 2008. The seventh-seeded Croat has reached three straight finals for the first time in his career. He beat Tommy Haas to win at Zagreb earlier this month, and then lost to Tomas Berdych at Rotterdam last week. "Its probably the best three weeks Ive played in my life," said Cilic, who reached his 20th career ATP final. "I couldnt be happier. Im enjoying these moments." Isner, the second seed, was trying to reach his second final of the year. He won the title in Auckland in January. The start of the night match was delayed nearly three hours becaause of rain, not finishing until the early morning Sunday.dddddddddddd Cilic will face Kevin Anderson of South Africa in the final. The fourth-seeded Anderson, who won this event in 2012, advanced with a 6-2, 6-4 victory over American qualifier Steve Johnson in the earlier semifinal. Anderson had 13 aces and won 86 per cent of his first-serve points. "Im pleased with the way I executed that part of my game," said Anderson, who has a 7-2 record this year. He was 0-3 in finals last year. Johnson admitted having some nerves playing in his first ATP semifinal. The American had beaten the top-seeded Haas and sixth-seeded Feliciano Lopez to reach the semis. "I definitely was a little uptight in the beginning, but credit (Anderson). (SportsNetwork.com) - The top-seeded Anaheim Ducks will aim for a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven Western Conference first round series tonight when they host the Dallas Stars at the Honda Center. The game can be seen live on TSN and TSN GO at 10pm et/7pm pt. Ryan Getzlaf will play after suffering a deep facial laceration late in Game 1 because of getting hit with a puck. He required multiple stitches to close the cut, but that x-rays were negative. "He has no one to impress. He has a wife and kids. I think he looks good. This is playoff hockey," quipped Ducks defenseman Ben Lovejoy. Getzlaf, a Stanley Cup winner in 2007 with the franchise, has 22 goals and 39 assists in 70 postseason appearances. Getzlaf and his wife, Paige, had a baby girl this morning as well.   The Ducks Matt Beleskey suffered a lower-body injury in Game 1 and will not play Friday. Devante Smith-Pelly will likely start in place of Beleskey, but head coach Bruce Boudreau said others might get the chance to play on that line as well. The Ducks led the West with 116 points -- 25 more than Dallas -- and their supremacy showed in the early portion of Wednesdays Game 1 victory. However, after jumping out to a four-goal lead, Anaheim was forced to hang on for a 4-3 decision in the opener. Anaheim held a 4-0 lead just over nine minutes into the second period, but Dallas cut the deficit to two goals by the end of 40 minutes and made it a 4-3 game when Tyler Seguin scored with a little over six minutes remaining in the third period. However, rookie goaltender Frederik Andersen, who got the start in net for Anaheim over Jonas Hiller, turned away all comers over the final six minutes to help the Ducks grab the early edge. Andersen finished with 32 saves in his postseason debut for the Ducks, who used a 54-20-8 regular-season record -- the best in franchise history -- to secure the conferences top spot. "We let up a little bit in the third after our fourth goal, so this is a good lesson for us," said Andersen, who became the first rookie goaltender in club history to win his playoff debut. "Hopefully we can prevent that from happening again." Anaheim plans on sticking with Andersen in Game 2. Hiller led Anaheim with 50 appearances in net this season, but the veteran did not play in seven of Anaheims final eight regular-season games. Getzlaf and Beleskey each supplied a goal and an assist for the Ducks, with Kyle Palmieri and Mathieu Perreault supplying a goal apiece. Anaheims Teemu Selanne notched an assist for his 83rd career postseason point (42 goals, 41 assists) in 119 games. The 43-year-old future Hall of Famer plans on retiring at the end of the season. Jamie Benn and Colton Sceviour scored 1:33 apart late in the second to kick off Dallas valiant comeback effort. Sceviour added an assist on Benns goal while Kari Lehtonen allowed four goals on 35 shots for the Stars, who claimed the Wests second wild card spot to reach the playoffs for the first time since 2008. "We had a tough start," Benn admitted. "They came out hot in their building. They are really good in this rink. I thought we battled back pretty good there but it just wasnt enough." Benn and Sceviour were both making their playoff debuts, while the 22-year-old Seguin, a former Boston Bruin, now has 19 points (7 goals, 12 assists) over 43 postseason contests. This series marks the third all-time playoff meeting between these clubs and first since the Stars bested the Ducks in six games during the 2008 Western Conference quarterfinals. Cowen will miss the next two contests because of his bodycheck on Zemgus Girgensons in the third period of Tuesdays game in Buffalo, in which he made primary contact with the head of the Sabres forward. Speaking to a small group of reporters on Thursday morning, Cowen said he wont change anything if that situation arises again in the future. "Ill make that same hit over and over again. Just because I had a hearing or a suspension isnt going to change it," Cowen said. "It is harder to hit small guys when youre taller. You have to get down to come through instead of just coming through because you have to change your levels. Its a little bit harder, but at the same time, Im not going to change anything." The 22-year-old defenseman insists that he was not targeting Girgensons head on the play and that if he stops playing with that physical edge, he wont be as effective on the ice. "No, I wouldnt do anything differently. If I dont make that hit, I dont play and I dont play well," Cowen added. "Maybe I move a little bit to the left an inch or two and thats the difference. Thats all that it was." "I made a lot of hits in this league before and its the first time its ever been under question. One in a thousand hits is going to be bad or whatever you want to call it. I was making the intention to make a full body contact check and I guess I got a piece of his head." Cowen was under some scrutiny a couple of weeks ago for an errant elbow that caught the head of Red Wings sstar Pavel Datsyuk, who was forced to miss several games with a concussion.dddddddddddd  The Sens defenseman says the league never mentioned his past incident with Datsyuk when doling out this two-game suspension. "It was never brought up that this was in relation to that one or that Im on some sort of list now. I think theyre not related at all," Cowen explained. "The Datsyuk one was totally reactional and accidental. This one was more of a missed hit or whatever you want to call it. I hope they werent considering the Datsyuk thing at all because that wouldnt make sense." During his phone hearing with the NHL department of player safety, Cowen argued that the play was not called a penalty on the ice and that Girgensons was not even injured as a result of the hit. In fact, the young Sabres forward immediately got up from the ice and charged towards Cowen. "He didnt say anything, but obviously actions speak louder than words," Cowen said when asked about Girgensons immediate response. "So obviously he was okay, too because he came after me and he wanted to do something. But I guess he was just faking it." The timing of the suspension couldnt have been worse for Cowen, who seemed to finally find his groove in the past two or three games. The young defenceman has been plagued by an inconsistent start to the season and appeared to be turning a corner in the past week. "Playing better and feeling better physically and just getting more into the rhythm, but this shouldnt stop that at all. Its one of those things I cant control. It shouldnt hinder me when I get back out there. Just stay skating and stay in good shape."   Their offense can sometimes betray
Yazar: Dogcat250 - 2 saat önce - Forum: TECO F510 Teknik Destek - Yorum Yok

Here are five thoughts on the Eastern Conference first-round series between the Toronto Raptors and Brooklyn Nets following Game 1. 1. NETS DEFENSE: Im giving Brooklyn credit. Their offense can sometimes betray you on the road but the D is always a constant. Its ironic; just recently an advance scout who I have a lot of respect for gave me his quick thoughts on how hed defend the Raptors. Extend your pickup point and really pressure their guards. Get out and challenge threes and chase them off the line at all cost. Keep the ball out of DeMar DeRozans hands with very physical denials. Body up to their people - they dont like contact and theyll turn it over. If you allow them to have flow theyll punish you.  Its interesting in the last two games that the Raptors played versus the NY Knicks on April 11 and 16; the Knicks used this strategy to force the Raptors into a combined 38 turnovers in those games. The Nets came in and did a terrific job in their coverage and forced the Raps into 17 turnovers and never allowed them to get comfortable.  Raptors half-court offense needs to toughen up and get sharper. 2. RAPTORS OFFENSE: I say this a ton of times - playoff offense is like having to go five-on-six against an opponent. Some teams will even use this in practice to toughen their teams up and require even higher-end execution. Its that hard, plain and simple! You could see it on Saturday afternoon that the inability to execute their schemes and go to counters/pressure releases when they got taken out of what they wanted was evident. The ability to establish a consistent paint presence with post-ups and penetration was inconsistent. Overall, the level of offensive toughness that you must have to succeed in the playoffs was lacking. Am I surprised? No. A young team in their first playoff game and it looked it. Theyll steadily improve and fight through that and begin to establish their style of play. They looked at their best when they were able to run off their defense and have space to do their thing. A key to the Raptors offense - pick up the defensive pressure and get the Nets on their heels more. Creator of circumstance vs. creature of it - choose your approach. 3. NETS 3-POINT SHOOTING: They were abysmal, shooting 4-24, which is uncharacteristic for them. Raptors brought good energy in trying to defend the line, yet some of the shots that Brooklyn missed were just plain decent looks that didnt go down. Will be important for Toronto to stay after it and not allow the Nets to get comfortable with the long range game. 4. PLAY BETTER: (DeMar DeRozan / Terrence Ross / Amir Johnson / John Salmons): Just look at their numbers. Theyd all be the first to tell you that they have to play a whole lot better. Theyre all good players whove been significant to the success of this team and they cant win without each of them playing at the level theyre capable of playing at. Bounce back time for each in Game 2 and beyond. Cant force it yet - come in with that approach thats made you successful all year and get after it. 5. MATCHUPS: Im concerned with the Joe Johnson (24 Points) and Paul Pierce (a very difficult cover at the four-spot) matchups. The Raptors struggled with this and have to do a better job in both instances. Johnson hurt them with his physicality and efficiency in the mid and low post, while Pierces outstanding ball skills and smarts along with his three-point shooting ability at the four-spot are a tough scenario for traditional power forwards to cover. Better effort in these two matchups, along with improved defensive assistance to help the guy having to guard those guys counter the issues will help, yet it cant compromise the ability to rebound and defend the three-ball. Energy level, communication, multiple effort, help/recovery and tight rotations will be things to watch. Just a first guess here; I try not to second guess a whole lot and try to put out there a thought to consider as we go forward. I have no issues with the defensive approach in Game 1. Dwane Casey and his staff are excellent and are on top of the details. They know their team better than anybody else. Not even close. Just a thought as a respectful first guess; in my opinion, I think Landry Fields is someone to consider if the current players in the Joe Johnson and Paul Pierce matchups arent able to get the job done. Hes got the size, athleticism, smarts, defensive range and toughness to hold his own in both instances. Any time you call on him, hes ready to go and does a nice job. I understand the concerns with his lack of perimeter shooting but in the playoffs, matchups become even more important to try and counter. Johnsons size, strength and physicality are an issue and Pierces mobility and distance shooting are a problem. Im confident that if he were ever called upon he could hold his own against both. Its just something to consider, again, as a respectful first guess. Cheap Nike Shoes From China . "Im proud, obviously. Its unclear which inmate was the aggressor. Hodgson said jail staff are interviewing witnesses and reviewing surveillance video to figure out exactly what happened and determine whether disciplinary measures or even criminal charges are warranted. "It was very brief. The officers were right there and it was stopped within seconds, maybe a minute," Hodgson said.dddddddddddd The jail is also reviewing procedures to figure out how the two inmates were allowed out of their cells at the same time. Hodgson did not release the other inmates name and said he did not know of any previous tension between the two men. "We dont know what, if any, relationship there was or has been at any point, either here or anywhere else," Hodgson said. Yazar: Dogcat250 - 2 saat önce - Forum: TECO F510 Teknik Destek - Yorum Yok

SALT LAKE CITY - Quin Snyder knows he has his work cut out for him with the Utah Jazz, but also feels he has the support of ownership to build the team back to a perennial playoff contender. "For a coach to have the loyalty of the ownership group, you feel you dont need to skip steps," Snyder said Saturday as he was introduced as the teams eighth head coach, and the first since 1979 hired from outside the organization. "Its a process and sometimes there is pressure to accelerate that process but we want to build something that will last." Snyder, who just completed his first season as an assistant with the Atlanta Hawks, takes over a team with a talented core of players 24 years old and younger. The Jazz also have two first round picks, including No. 5 overall, in the upcoming NBA draft. Utah was also reportedly considering Chicago assistant Adrian Griffin, NBA coaching veteran Alvin Gentry and Jazz assistant Brad Jones. However, Synders reputation for player development played a primary role in landing the job. "Trust is something thats earned," said Snyder, who has also been an assistant with the Los Angeles Lakers, Philadelphia 76ers and Los Angeles Clippers. "It takes time but with players, they always respond when you give yourself to them and help them get better. They then give back to you. Those relationships are what drive player development." Snyder is the first outsider hired to lead the Jazz since former Houston Rockets coach Tom Nissalke for the franchises first season in Utah after moving from New Orleans. After playing at Duke, Snyder — who has gained a reputation as a keen offensive mind with excellent communication skills — was an assistant for Larry Brown with the Clippers and then earned an MBA-law degree at Duke before assisting Blue Devils coach Mike Krzyzewski for six seasons. He was seen as a rising star in the college coaching ranks when he led Missouri to the quarterfinals of the NCAA tournament in 2002 and posted a 128-96 record over seven seasons. The team faltered toward the tail end of that time and he resigned as the school was placed on probation for minor infractions. "There was a point in my career when I left Missouri when I just wasnt sure I wanted to continue coaching," Snyder said. "I had to rediscover my passion for the game over the next few years and I was so fortunate to work with an amazing calibre of coaches." Utah general manager Dennis Lindsey, who was previously in the San Antonio front office, became closely acquainted with Snyder when he coached the Austin Toros, the Spurs NBA Development League affiliate, from 2007-10. "We decided with Austin that we would focus of development rather than winning, but what happened is that we developed players and helped the highest number of players matriculate to the NBA during that stretch. We also won a lot of games at the same time," Lindsey said. Snyder served as an assistant with CSKA Moscow under Ettore Messina and has also coached with Doug Collins and Gregg Popovich in the past few years. "Ive had a chance to work with some of the best minds in basketball," Snyder said. "Its humbling to think how Ive been able to be around those people like Coach K, Coach Pop, R.C. Buford. Through those opportunities, you know what you dont know. But Id like to think I took advantage of it." Snyder inherits a team that went 112-146 in 3 1/2 years under Tyrone Corbin — including 25-57 last season, the franchises worst mark since going 24-58 in its first year in Utah. "I love this game. Its been good to me and I have a passion for it," Snyder said. "I love player development and thats something thats central to me. I want to help these young men get better." With Snyder at the helm of an NBA team for the first time, the Jazz hope their players soon develop into the type of team they had while making 20 consecutive playoff appearances from 1984-2003. OAKLAND, Calif. - No matter the lineup or location, the San Antonio Spurs are rolling through the NBA again this spring, just the way they have for most of the last two decades. Especially against Golden State. Tony Parker had 20 points and five assists, Danny Green scored 18 points and the short-handed Spurs outlasted the Warriors 99-90 on Saturday night for their 13th straight victory. "I guess they believe in themselves and in the system, and they just keep working it. Other than that, I dont really know what to tell you," Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said. "Theyve just got great character. They never give in, and I think they like the challenge when guys are out. They seem to enjoy it." Tiago Splitter added 17 points and 14 rebounds as the league-leading Spurs (53-16) pulled away with an 11-0 run early in the fourth quarter. San Antonio, riding its longest winning streak in seven years, is two games ahead of Oklahoma City for the top playoff seed in the Western Conference. The Spurs did it even while resting stars Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili. They are 3-0 against Golden State this season, including two wins in Oakland without their regulars, after eliminating the Warriors in the second round of the playoffs last year. "Everybody stepped up," Parker said. "When somebodys not playing, its just other guys who will do it. And we trust each other." Stephen Curry scored 20 points to go with six assists and six rebounds, and Andrew Bogut grabbed 17 boards as the Warriors head into a five-day break on a sour note. The Warriors (44-27) had won three straight but missed a chance to move up in the playoff chase after Portland lost at Charlotte. Golden State is still in sixth place in the West, 1 1/2 games behind the Trail Blazers and 1 1/2 ahead of Dallas. San Antonio has won 51 of the past 59 meetings against the Warriors. "We made some mistakes. Its a disappointing loss. Itll make us better," Warriors coach Mark Jackson said. "Hopefully we see them down the road again, but theres a reason why theyre the best team in basketball." After wins at the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday night and at Sacramento on Friday night, Popovich rested two of his veterans as he so often does throughout the NBAs marathon schedule. Duncan, Ginobili and Parker all sat out San Antonios 104-102 victory against the Warriors on Dec. 19. Jackson has been trying to take a similar approach during the seasons stretch run, though the wins are not always following. Swingman Andre Iguodala was inactive for the third straight game with tendinitis in his right knee, and backup centre Jermaine ONeal returned after sitting out the previous two games. Even with all the lineup changes, Jackson saw the matchup against the Spurs as a "benchmark" for where his team stands. He joked before the game that the Spurs are like a bunch of "old dudes" at a recreational centre whipping a group of high school All-Americans because of their smarts and savvy. And thats just what it looked like at the start. The Spurs opened the game on a 22-7 run and held the lead most of the way. After the Warriors moved within four in the fourth quarter, Greens 3-pointer capped an 11-0 spurt that put San Antonio ahead 87-74. The Warriors made one last push before the Spurs quickly regrouped. Parker spun for a reverse layup and Green came back with another 3 to stretch San Antonios lead back to 94-82 with 2:18 left, sending most of the announced sellout crowd of 19,596 headed to the exits. "I couldnt be more proud of them," Popovich said. "Their effort with three games in four nights, this late in the season, and the back-to-back tonight, to finish off the three in four was real special because everyone came off the bench and they gave the effort they needed to give and Im just thrilled for them." The Spurs showed off all their best attributes through the game: smothering defence, precision passing and sharp shooting. The Warriors finally found their touch late in the second quarter, when they scored 10 straight points and sliced San Antonios lead to 50-47 at the half. The teams traded scores for most of the third quarter, and the Warriors briefly took a one-point lead. The Spurs put together another surge to go ahead 76-69 entering the fourth quarter, and held on for their longest winning streak since rolling off 13 in a row was from Feb. 13 to March 13, 2007. "You dont win 50-something odd games at this point and not have a good second unit," said ONeal, who had nine points and seven rebounds. "They really fly around." NOTES: Spurs reserve F Matt Bonner also sat out with a strained right calf. ... San Antonio (15-1) and Golden State (13-5) have the most wins in the NBA since the All-Star break. ... A lot of guys have gained a lot of confidence and hopefully we can take that forward into an exciting summer of Test cricket.Weve had a pretty successful winter with winning away in South Africa and getting to the final of the Twenty20 World Cup and there are a lot of exciting young players that are putting their name forward for selection for this Test series. Seeing the depth that weve got as a country, hopefully that will stand u in good stead and keep everyone looking to improve and take our side forward. Sam Robson has caught the eye in the opening weeks of the County Championship season There has been widespread debate over the newly-introduced British Safety Standard compliant helmets after the ECB grilled Test captain Alastair Cook when he persisted with wearing the old style headgear.Cook hit 127 not out in Essexs draw with Sussex on Wednesday while wearing the new-style helmet and Root thinks it is now time to draw a line under the issue. Stuart Broad says he understands why Alastair Cook refused to wear the new helmet at the start of the cricket season The rules are the rules and you have to get over it now, he said.Theres no point moaning about it. Thats whats happened and its obviously going to be a little frustrating for a few guys who have been used to playing in a certain way and stuff but if thats the way its got to go, we have to get to grips with it pretty quickly. Its good to see Alastair go and do that [score an unbeaten century] and it wont take him long to adjust even though it must be quite frustrating if youve been used to that for your whole career. The Vikings won the toss, and began the overtime period with the ball at the 30 yard line after a nice return by Holton Hill.Mike Zimmer inexplicably allowed Laquon Treadwell back out on the field Authentic Kyle Rudolph Jersey , and Treadwell immediately dropped two passes. This gave rookie kicker Daniel Carlson a shot at redemption.Carlson saw the opportunity, thought about the kick, and promptly vomited all over himself, pushing the ball wide right. The Vikings defense then held stout, forcing the Packers to punt the ball.Cousins then returned to his best and most reliable playmakers, Diggs, Thielen, Kyle Rudolph, and Running Back Latavius Murray, who set Daniel Carlson up one more time, this time from 35 yards out, lined up directly in the center of the field.Somewhere, someone out there - and damn you, if it was you! - said “Carlson can’t possibly miss from here, can he?”And Carlson replied, “watch this!”, booting the ball wide right Youth Xavier Rhodes Jersey , and ending the game in a sickening, horrible tie.Kirk Cousins did absolutely everything he could possibly have done to win the game, finishing 35/48 for 425 yards, four touchdowns and an interception.Dalvin Cook rushed the ball ten times for 38 yards, and added another 3 catches for 52 yards.Adam Thielen had 12 catches for 131 yards and a touchdown, Stefon Diggs caught 9 balls for 128 yards and 2 touchdowns, and Kyle Rudolph added 7 catches for 72 yards. On defense, the Vikings held the Packers to just 4-13 on 3rd down.Rodgers was 30/42 for 281 yards and one TD.Danielle Hunter, Mackensie Alexander, and David Parry each had a sack, and Everson Griffen and Sheldon Richardson combined for a sack as well.It was definitely a disappointing ending for the Purple after such a great comeback.Next week, the team takes on the Buffalo Bills at U.S. Bank Stadium.Thank you to everyone who got their Vikings game day coverage here at the Daily Norseman.
